Halogen-free flame retardant PETG filament 1Kg 1.75 mm

The esFil PETG FRHF filament is a PETG-based filament made in Spain. PETG FRHF has the ability to self-extinguish in the event of combustion. The V0HF filament contains additives capable of delaying ignition and extinguishing the fire by creating a carbonized layer on the surface of the material that prevents oxygen from feeding the flame. Even so, it is very difficult to set this material on fire in the first place.

 Furthermore, unlike other flame retardant filaments on the market, our PETG FRHF is completely halogen-free. Halogenated materials found in other filaments are dangerous for both people and the environment. Some of the problems caused by halogenated compounds include soil, water and air pollution. They are also harmful to the ozone layer.

This filament is as easy to print as PLA, but its mechanical properties are far superior. PETG is a polymer obtained from PET, the plastic used to manufacture bottles. The addition of Glycol modifies the properties of the polymer, making it easier to print, less fragile and more transparent. PETG's coefficient of thermal expansion is very low, so it never experiences warping problems during printing.

Unlike other materials, PETG has a greater tendency to leave threads in the prints, which must be combated with greater retraction and a decrease in printing temperature. When the material is printed correctly, you will get durable and resistant parts that can be used both indoors and outdoors.

Vacuum packed in 90 micron bags with a silica gel bag inside to ensure its preservation and the absence of humidity. Available in 1Kg filament spools. Filament available with a diameter of 1.75 mm.
