Excellent abrasion resistance

The TPU filament stands out for its high abrasion resistance, making it ideal for applications where parts will be subjected to prolonged friction stress.

High impact absorption

Thanks to its elastic properties and high hardness, TPU 60D is the perfect material for printing protective parts such as cases and covers.

Immune to Fats and Chemical Agents

3D printed TPU maintains its structural integrity and flexibility even in direct contact with most oils, lubricants, and solvents.

Resistant to hydrolysis

The TPU used to manufacture our flexible filament is specially formulated to resist hydrolysis once printed, so your parts can withstand extremely humid conditions without degrading.

Product details

Description

eFil TPU 60D belongs to the eFil family of flexible TPU-based filaments. Its Shore hardness is 60D , which is higher than the standard hardness of flexible 3D printing filaments on the market. A hardness of 60D is found in hard rubber parts, and it also offers greater elongation. This increased hardness allows for easier printing with flexible filaments.

Its high hardness is recommended for parts that must withstand mechanical stress, especially impacts. Furthermore, its tensile strength is very high, withstanding up to 40 MPa; this allows the models to be applied in real-world working environments, progressing from a simple prototype to a fully functional part.

Made from TPU, the filament boasts excellent chemical resistance to acids, bases, and a wide variety of solvents. Furthermore, TPU plastic offers high resistance to abrasion, impact, and punctures. The eFil TPU 60D can withstand temperatures up to 100°C.

eFil TPU 60D has excellent adhesion, so printing is free of warping issues, even without a heated bed or other adhesion methods. This strong adhesion ensures perfect layer bonding , resulting in parts that are much more tear-resistant. This is the perfect elastic filament for use with Bowden -type printing systems, as its rigidity allows it to flow smoothly through the tube without stopping.

Among its applications, we can highlight orthopedics, footwear, spare parts, tooling, and a wide variety of industrial applications. 60D hardness is what we find in construction set pieces, although with greater elongation. You can improve its performance by pre-drying it for 30 to 60 minutes at 90°C.

What do our customers say about us?

Frequently Asked Questions

Find more information on our FAQ page

Is this filament compatible with AMS or similar?

No, due to its flexible nature, we do not recommend using TPU filament with AMS or similar materials. The best way to work with it is through direct extrusion, avoiding having the filament pass through tubes or sharp angles.

Do I need to dry the TPU filament before printing it?

Yes, drying TPU filament before printing is highly recommended. TPU is a very hygroscopic material, meaning it absorbs a lot of moisture from the environment quickly. Drying the filament before each print will result in sharper, string-free prints.

Do you offer special prices for professionals?

Yes, we offer special rates for professionals, businesses, and high-volume users. If you'd like to learn more, you can use the contact form on the right to request further information.

How can I dry TPU filament ?

To dry TPU filament, we recommend using any commercially available filament drying solution. We suggest using a dryer with active air intake and a fan, as this will ensure that the air is refreshed once saturated with moisture. For drying, we recommend a temperature between 50°C and 70°C for a minimum of 4 hours.

Can I pick up my order at your premises?

Yes, select the "office collection" option when paying for your product and we will prepare it for you to pick up as soon as possible.
