High flexibility
The TPU 90A Filament is a filament that will allow you to manufacture parts capable of elongating while recovering their original shape.

Excellent abrasion resistance
The TPU filament stands out for its high abrasion resistance, making it ideal for applications where parts will be subjected to prolonged friction stress.

Immune to Fats and Chemical Agents
3D printed TPU maintains its structural integrity and flexibility even in direct contact with most oils, lubricants, and solvents.

Resistant to hydrolysis
The TPU used to manufacture our flexible filament is specially formulated to resist hydrolysis once printed, so your parts can withstand extremely humid conditions without degrading.

Product details
Description
eFil TPU 90A belongs to the eFil family of flexible filaments based on TPU plastic. Its Shore A hardness is 90A , which combines a high degree of flexibility with ease of printing . Furthermore, different hardness levels can be achieved by varying the infill percentage during 3D printing. A hardness of 90A can reach 470% elongation and is the type found, for example, in the rubber sole of a work boot. Its tensile strength reaches 35 MPa and its impact resistance is 126 N/mm.
The eFil TPU 90A boasts excellent chemical resistance to both acids and bases, as well as a wide variety of solvents. It also offers exceptional resistance to abrasion, impacts, and punctures , and can withstand temperatures up to 100°C. Furthermore, it features strong adhesion , eliminating warping issues during printing, even without a heated bed or other bonding methods. This high adhesion ensures a perfect bond between layers , resulting in parts that are significantly more tear-resistant.
The recommended extruders for this filament are those where the filament pull can be adjusted . The ideal pull point is where the extruder applies strong tension to the filament without pinching it. If your printer doesn't have an extruder designed for flexible filament, you may need to upgrade it to work with eFil TPU 90A. The simplest upgrade is to print a wedge-shaped part to guide the filament into the barrel. Check compatibility with your printer beforehand. Bowden extruders are not recommended. It's always advisable to reduce the printing speed until you've mastered the appropriate settings for your printer. You can improve performance by pre-drying the filament for 30 to 60 minutes at 90°C.

What do our customers say about us?
Frequently Asked Questions
Find more information on our FAQ page
Is this filament compatible with AMS or similar?
No, due to its flexible nature, we do not recommend using TPU filament with AMS or similar materials. The best way to work with it is through direct extrusion, avoiding having the filament pass through tubes or sharp angles.
Do I need to dry the TPU filament before printing it?
Yes, drying TPU filament before printing is highly recommended. TPU is a very hygroscopic material, meaning it absorbs a lot of moisture from the environment quickly. Drying the filament before each print will result in sharper, string-free prints.
Do you offer special prices for professionals?
Yes, we offer special rates for professionals, businesses, and high-volume users. If you'd like to learn more, you can use the contact form on the right to request further information.
How can I dry TPU filament ?
To dry TPU filament, we recommend using any commercially available filament drying solution. We suggest using a dryer with active air intake and a fan, as this will ensure that the air is refreshed once saturated with moisture. For drying, we recommend a temperature between 50°C and 70°C for a minimum of 4 hours.
Can I pick up my order at your premises?
Yes, select the "office collection" option when paying for your product and we will prepare it for you to pick up as soon as possible.
