Is this filament compatible with AMS or similar systems?
Yes, everything in our PLA MAX has been designed with multi-color systems and high speed in mind. The spool size is calculated to fit perfectly into multi-color systems, while the perfect winding makes working with these systems a smooth and reliable experience.
What is the maximum printing speed of esFil PLA MAX?
The maximum printing speed not only depends on the filament, but also on your 3D printer. We have formulated PLA MAX to be fluid enough to be printed by high-speed printers. Some of our users have reported actual print speeds of over 300 mm/s with specific setups.
Should PLA be dried before printing?
Yes, to get the best finish, it's necessary to dry PLA before printing. Although PLA is not as hygroscopic as other materials, it's advisable to dry it before printing to avoid stringing issues.
What is the difference between PLA MAX and regular PLA?
PLA MAX is our proprietary PLA formulation manufactured exclusively for use in 3D printing. Unlike other manufacturers who use generic PLA formulations, at 3DFils we work hand-in-hand with our suppliers to obtain a material whose technical properties are 100% oriented towards use in 3D printers.
