The abFil TPU 90A antibacterial filament is manufactured in Spain and has antibacterial protection, certified with ISO 22196 , thanks to the incorporation of silver ions.
eFil TPU 90A has excellent chemical resistance properties to both acids and bases, as well as to a wide variety of solvents. It also has extreme resistance to abrasion, impacts and punctures and can withstand temperatures up to 100ºC. In addition, it has great adhesion , so its printing does not present warping problems, even without using a heated bed or other fixing methods. This great adhesion provides a perfect bond between layers , which creates parts that are much more resistant to tearing.
Silver ions have 3 modes of action on bacteria that ensure their effectiveness: they prevent bacterial growth, interfere with the production of enzymes preventing the cell from producing energy, and interrupt the replication of its DNA.
The main advantage over other antibacterial technologies is that the silver ions become part of the piece itself and are not a coating. This provides permanent protection to the piece without its effect disappearing over time.
Silver ions have a proven efficacy of 99.99% in inhibiting bacterial growth, offering protection against bacteria such as Aspergillus niger, Campylobacter, Escherichia coli, Klebsiella pneumoniae, Legionella, Listeria monocytogenes, Staphylococcus Aureus or Salmonella enteritidis among others.
3DFils' manufacturing process guarantees excellent quality , with a standard deviation of 0.01 mm and a maximum tolerance of 0.05 mm, ensuring fluid, jam-free printing. Ovality below 2% allows for more uniform layer application, improving the final finish of the piece.
